You have the opportunity until July 3 to be shortlisted for the final selection of the best export company of the year in Slovenia.

Izvozniki.si –the best from Slovenia for the tenth consecutive year, we are selecting the best export company in Slovenia, one that builds its growth and success in foreign markets on the development of new innovative products, close cooperation with customers and distributors, creating its own brand, entering new markets, and acquiring new customers.

Who Can Participate

The largest exporters set an example for the Slovenian economy in terms of profitability and value added. Join companies such as Steklarna Hrastnik, Fotona, EKWB, Dewesoft, Incom, Kolektor Etra, Adria Mobil, RLS Merilna tehnika, and Euro Plus, who have impressed the expert committee the most with their results in previous years.

In this year’s selection for Exporter of the year, companies that are predominantly exporters with at least 10 million euros in revenue in the financial year 2023 can participate, the added value per employee must be at least 70 thousand euros.

How to Enter

The entry ticket to the selection is a completed questionnaire covering key areas such as main export products and services, results in main export markets, export strategies, investments and plans, long-term sustainability of operations abroad, export forecasts for the current year, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). The completed application must be sent to the email address izvozniki@finance.si no later than 3rd July.

Based on the financial and qualitative analysis of the collected responses from the questionnaires of the registered companies, the coordinator for small and medium-sized enterprises at UniCredit Bank Slovenia, Borut Zebec, the chief analyst of Časnik Finance, Jure Ugovšek, and the editorial team of Izvozniki.si – the best from Slovenia, will shortlist four finalists.

The editors of Izvozniki.si – the best from Slovenia will prepare detailed articles about all fourand publish them on Izvozniki.si and Finance.si, as well as in the Finance Manager newspaper. A systematic review of the indicators of all this year’s finalists will also be published before the Slovenian Exporters Conference.

Judging Panel

The recipient of the Exporter of the Year award will be selected from the four finalists by an expert committee consisting of:

• Prof. Dr. Tjaša Redek, full professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana,
• Stanka Šarc Majdič, member of the management board of SID Bank,
• Tanja Turk, member of the management board and head of corporate banking at UniCredit Bank Slovenia,
• Borut Zebec, coordinator for small and medium-sized enterprises at UniCredit Bank Slovenia,
• Peter Čas, director of Steklarna Hrastnik, Exporter of the Year 2023,
• Peter Frankl, director and editor-in-chief of Časnik Finance,
• Jure Ugovšek, chief analyst at Časnik Finance, and
• Monika Klinar, director of niche projects at Časnik Finance.

The winner will be announced on 12th September at Brdo pri Kranju, at the 11th Slovenian Exporters Conference.
